A plethora of events ranging from foray and mushroom ID sessions, to hands-on demonstrations, to lectures—all led by regionally-, nationally-, and internationally-known experts, (and we cannot forget the Parade!) there is plenty for everyone each and every day.

On this website, you can filter your search by events, venues, presenters, etc. Each year the Mushroom Festival features many wonderful presentations on “all things fungi.” Presentations on similar topics are grouped together at the same venue so that attendees interested will be able to spend more time learning and interacting, and less time walking between venues. This talk explores how magic mushrooms may affect one’s perspective about aging. Boomers are revisiting psychedelics in their old age, and reporting their experiences. There is some research on the subject and interesting correlations to be made between studies on depression, creativity, and openness, and senior states of mind like fear of death, chronic pain, declines in empathy, creativity, and meaningful experiences. Eugenia, who will be a senior citizen when her new book Have a Good Trip is on bookshelves, describes how she used magic mushrooms to contextualize her own aging process, and what a difference it made. This talk is especially relevant for Mycophiles over 50!
