Nuriya owns and manages the One Heart House in Mancos, Colorado, a community wellness center and gathering place to support community and self-care practices for radiant health. A number of practitioners, including Nuriya, use the space at the One Heart House to offer workshops, meditation, yoga, gong baths, Kirtan singing, women’s circles, Dances of Universal Peace, ancestral skills workshops, Kundalini-Tantric- Thai Yoga playshops, holiday gatherings, and individual and group sessions for chiropractic, acupuncture, energy work, reiki, marconics, and massage sessions and classes. Nuriya Akers has also served as a hospice worker since 2013 in the roles of bereavement and grief coach, support group facilitator, chaplain, and massage therapist. As a licensed massage therapist and bodyworker, she has offered massage therapy in Montezuma County and La Plata County in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities and also provided mobile massage home visits, while maintaining her private massage practice at the One Heart House, Nuriya’s community wellness center in Mancos, Colorado.
Nuriya is a graduate of the Boldly Embody Life, Elevate Coaching and Facilitator Training program and certified as a Transformational Life Coach with the International Coaching Federation. She is a graduate of the Tiospaye Living Vision Transformational Trainings in Durango, Colorado and served on their coaching staff for four years. She is also a graduate of a three year Hakomi Body-Centered Psychotherapy program.
